Happy New Year to all !!! Hope your 2010 will be a wonderful year.
Mine?? HA !!! End of 09 my computer crashed and required a call to Dell, almost 4 hrs later it is working, I lost my files (but have most on CD, haven't checked ..but hope my eulogy for Dad and my annulment paperwork is on it) But I did get my google tool bar back!!! Yes, spell check!!!
Prior to that, during the cold snap, my garage door opener went on strike. Looks like I might need a new door and a fix of the opener. (I've been opening myself, leaving it open until I return)
Took the car in for it's maintenance. I knew some brake work might be needed and there was a funny noise in the steering column. Needless to say....
$227 for parts, $450 for labor, peace of mind while driving ....PRICELESS!!
I'm having to play catch up with Medicare changes, that where put into effect in March and Aug. NO ADVANCE NOTICE. They changed reimbursement for meds (self adm drugs, even if it's RX med. In the outpt setting and ER. My Celebrax which had been covered until Aug, now needs to be billed by me to my part D. They stopped covering my valium and benadryl which they covered until March.
My MD and I figured out how to beat the system, give the valium and benadryl IV and I have a RX for Celebrax at home (take my cap. before I leave or up there) The bills after we switched are paid 100% But I had to pay $250 for the valium and benadryl charges ($32/ day.. I'm there 2-3x a month)
Also if you require an insulin inj while in the ER, not covered. My concern, what if they find you have a high glucose while testing you for the reason why you are barely alert?? Then it should be covered?? I would hope so!!!
Otherwise, it's been a good new year. Got through the first year with out Dad, all those firsts were hard. I know it's not easier, but I made it through it.
Until later....
