OK.......we've been in Mesa, AZ for a week now and have literally gone somewhere every day and had a great time, that is until today. Today we were suppose to pick up our weekly mail...and boy do I ever look forward to that mail call, I love getting mail...always have, probably always will. But what did we find out...our mail had been classified (by the post office in Mesa) as "undeliverable due to address". HuH? The campground we're at told us how to address the envelope to receive mail right here, so I in turn, emailed the addy to our mail forwarding service in Livingston, TX. But for some reason the post office didn't recognize the address so marked it return to sender. We went to the post office to see if perhaps it was still there, but the clerk said she had no idea where it would be at this point as it was marked "return to sender"...yep, we already knew that.
Well now what, we're leaving in the morning. So I emailed Livingston gave them another address for our next move, asked them to notify me when the returned envie came back, add to it and lets try to get it to Yuma, AZ.
We have friends here in the Mesa, Arizona area who use to full time, but because their 5th wheel was totalled out due to poor maintenance, and they were tight on funds...they looked into the housing that was available here. In fact some of the houses here that were recently defaulted on were cheaper than a new 5th wheel trailer or motorhome...can you believe that?

Well you would if you've ever priced some of the newer motorhomes on the market...it's hard to find one under $200,000. Well maybe you could find a new one for $150,000 but that's about it for a class A motorhome today.

Yikes...we were lucky that we bought ours 5 years ago when it was a bit more reasonable. Well anyway, we spent several days with our friends...meeting for lunch one day & doing some shopping; touring an Indian reservation the next Besh Ba Gawa; going to their house the next for lunch and talking; and the last day she & I worked with our rubberstamps and the guys visited a state park that had Indian heiroglyphics. It was a fun week.......and in our spare time Jerry & I saw a couple of movies. We saw Helen Merrin as the wife of Tolstoy last night...cannot remember the name of it, something about The Station? Was a terrific movie.
And best of all...the WEATHER. It has been absolutely perfect here....70's days and 40's night. Then I hear from my son, and my sisters and they are all dealing with the snow. We have had an unusually cold winter here in the southwest this year but this week, we've finally hit the sunshine that had some warmth in it. So nice to see these old people out in their shorts sunbathing soaking up that Vitamin D.

Ok I had to laught at that...old people never look too good in their shorts...the guys have knock knees and tummies hanging over the waist bands and the gals look somewhat better usually and then there are a few really knock out gals...good for them! Jerry has worn his shorts around the house but so far we haven't ventured outside in shorts (of any length) as it does cool down quickly in the late afternoon.
Well we're off tomorrow...may stop and check out one of the Indian casinos in the neighborhood and then will be off to Yuma. I am going to post something on here about those who might be trying to get their SSDI and it's also interesting to those of you who use Face Book.......it's from a doctor who also is a support group leader and is on the leaders yahoo group that I just joined. Not sure where I'll fit it in...but look for it. OK? OK!!
