oh, don't I wish there was a magic way to lose weight!!

I gained so much when I was on the steroids (prednisone) for 10 years with my lupus...and it's taken me 5 years to loose 50 pounds of it, but am still about 20 pounds from the weight I was before. And in fact right now it's a bit of a sore subject for me, as somehow I let myself put on 6 new lbs.

So many of the meds we take for lupus and fibro and arthritis, etc. encourage us to be hungry, so the eating is a big problem.
But there really is no way to lose weight unless you eat fewer calories, or burn more calories by extra movement (also known as exercise). I seem to have cravings lately and can't figure out why...maybe it's the weather which is very hot where I am at present time. Hot & humid here in Texas...and we're going to head north here soon hoping to find cooler temps.
What illness are you dealing with...or illnesses as it so often is?
